With the puck headed the other way, the Firebirds set up a cycle in the Raiders' zone.
There's under 3 minutes to play in the first period and the puck is on Louie Garrett's stick. The young winger gets a clean look and snaps a wrister at Jordin FourFour Jr!

The final two and a half minutes of the first period peter out fairly uneventfully with two icings and a Hermanis Villy hit the only notable events. Both sides are visibly gassed and after an incredibly intense period everyone looks happy to get to intermission, get some rest, and come out swinging in period two.
