The end of the Lahey penalty hasn’t made any difference; the Jets are still on top, and Schmidt has to look alert to keep out a shot from Both that’s deflected en route by Šatan. Still 1-0 in Winnipeg!

The Jets power play unit is 0 for 4 tonight, but they’ll get a fifth opportunity here as Jed Lloren goes to the box for holding. And again WKP look to have their number; just one shot in the first minute of the power play, and Schmidt keeps that out with ease. Big Manious is calling him out! He wants to tie this one up!

After Schmidt’s heroics, we actually see some offence from the Platoon! Pettyfer calls Prikulis into action, but it’s easily dealt with by the goalie. Winnipeg comes straight back down the ice, and Elyk see his shot flash wide of the post as the home side continue to search for an equaliser.

The game is suddenly wide open as the Platoon gain possession and gain the offensive zone. The players need to hold their concentration until the buzzer, but Fedorov shoots—IT’S TIPPED!!
