Phelps wins the faceoff and we're back in action.

Fast forward to the 3:33 mark, where the blizzard are playing a bit of keepaway. Scholz with the puck, dishes to Cuddles who takes it into the zone and whips it down to Tokolosh. Julio sends it back to Tor Tuck, standing near the blue line. Tuck... over to Rockefeller who sneaks it inside Tokolosh.

Tokolosh tries to slip it past Kryyst, but Geezus falls on it and holds on.

New lines out for both teams. Hagan wins the faceoff in Hamilton's zone for the Blizzard and sends it back to Finn-Rhys. The Blizzard pass it aroud a bit and get it over to James Truong, who's staring at a meaty slice of goal from the right side. Truong puts it on net............

KICKED AWAY BY KRYYST WHAT A SAVE TO SHUT THE DOOR FAST

Now 5 minutes into the period, the Steelhawks have possession as Tig Murphy brings it into the offensive zone.

Murphy sends it over to Hugh Jazz, who is horny for his second goal of the game.

Jazz winds up and fires a shot on net...

Fouquette with the brilliant deflection off of the Hugh Jazz shot and he's able to slip it into the open net... 2-0 Hamilton here just 5 minutes into the game

The camera crew catches a glimpse of Hamilton management in the press box, looking delighted as Fouquette and Jazz have the Steelhawks off to an early 2-0 lead

Let's skip ahead to the 14 minute mark in the first, where it's still 2-0 Hamilton. Been a quiet time since the early madness, but things are picking up now for both teams.

Duggan winds up a shot for the Steelhawks but it sails wide of the net. Luckily Phelps is there to bring it back in, and he tries to rifle one on goal but sends it well wide as well.

It's back to Jax, who lines up a second shot of his own.....

Misses the net again! Three decent attempts for Hamilton there but they couldn't challenge Tuck.

Anazibf carries the puck in the neutral zone after the line change and tries to send it over to Fouquette, but Finn-Rhys picks it off

FR sends it to Banananak, who carries it into the Edmonton zone and down the side.

Banananak sends it towards the crease, where Terrance Nova is waiting

Oh my, what's this?? Nova is attempting something fancy, fields the pass from Boruvka and brings it back in between his legs to put it on goal.......

SAVED (rather easily) by Kryyst. Nice fancy work by Nova but the end result wasn't enough. Still 2-0 here!
