The Scandinavian powerplay is looking for their third goal of the night, and only 21 minutes have passed. Aittokallio wins the face off and passes to Skottson, who passes back to Aittokallio. Wagstrom is all alone by the right dot, Aittokallio dishes it right on the tape! A CLAPPER!

USA is able to kill the PP off the momentum of that save, and Mclovin steps out of the box. Scandinavia dumps and goes for a change, and Speardane retrieves it and threads the needle to Williams who just stepped on the ice by the Scandinavia blue line! A bad change by Scandinavia leads to a lucky breack for Williams, and he's in all alone with no defender in sight! WILL. THE. DIMMADAB. RETURN????

After some more dumping and chasing, the game grinds down with little oppurtunity for either team to score. That is, until Ulrich carries in, passes to Niemi who splits the D! Fakes the shot and passes over to MUERTO WHO SHOOTS!

Pedersen Jr. moves into the zone but is hit and knocked down by Toivanen. The puck is under Pedersen.. Toivanen reaches for it but Pedersen gets up and is hooked! Toivanen goes to the box late in the second. The USA powerplay NEEDS to score here.

Spoiler alert: They don't and the buzzer marks the end of the second. USA had 12 shots this period and Vilde stopped them all, Scandinavia scored on 1 of 10 shots to make it 3-0.
