The first period plays out rather uneventfully after the early scoring flurry, with neither team seemingly being able to create any chances, and when they have them, are unable to hit the net (I don't think I've ever seen so many shots miss the net)

We're going to go right ahead and jump into the second period in just a moment as things will hopefully begin to pick up once again!

Welcome back to our coverage of game 6 in this best of seven series between the two old school western conference rivals in the Vancouver Whalers and the Kelowna Knights.

We're picking up about two minutes into the second period. Chamas wins a faceoff and gives out a lovely pass towards Rossberg

Rossberg's looking shaky as he tries to get to his feet, Lundberg takes the loose puck and skates with it

AND GETS RUN OVER BY ADAM GREENHOLM

The Vancouver Wrecking Crew aren't taking any prisoners tonight

Whalers have possession in the Knights zone, the puck currently on the stick of Riley Mason. Mason shoots on net, Bernie Sanders gets his stick down and goes for the tip in, surely this is going to make it 3-0 for the Whalers!

NAH BJORNSSON GOT THIS

Huge save from the Knights tendy to keep out the Whalers and keep the deficit to 2.

Now it's the Knights turn to have a push for a goal

Tony Flow with the puck in the Whalers zone, holds it, holds it, holds it

Flow finally shoots the puck and it deflects off the skate of Lundberg into......

MVP can't help himself from hooking and the Knights get a pretty convenient powerplay opportunity.

Kovy has the puck for the Knights and shoots it on goal!

And it goes really wide, which is kind of a recurring thing in this game

Linna however collects it and shoots

All square here as the Knights are really getting it done with two goals in the space of two minutes. Who knows how this is gonna end!

Tie game: 2-2
